One ingredient yogurt melts

Image
I've been seeing yogurt melts all over Pinterest and wanted to give it a go. It looked easy and I know the kids would love the melts.  I had some yogurt on hand, so the kids and I took to it... and they loved the melts! I saw where some people strained the yogurt in cheesecloth for an hour, or added other ingredients, but we tried to make it as easy as possible.  This is what we did:  Get your favorite yogurt. Using Greek yogurt will give the melts that sour flavor that the Greek yogurt has. If your kids don't like Greek yogurt, go with the regular yogurt. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. I had to cut ours to size. Spoon some of your yogurt into a sandwich bag. Once you have your yogurt in the bag, cut off the tip on one corner. It will look like this. Then squeeze all the yogurt to that corner. Squeeze out some yogurt onto your lined baking sheet. You can make these as big or small as you want. We made ours for

Restoration Hardware Dupe Chandelier

As soon as we moved into our home, I knew we would need to replace all the original light fixtures. They were all brass and very outdated. Since we are working with a budget, I had to be smart with how much I was going to spend on each light.  The hunt was on, and of course the light I loved the most was a Restoration Hardware fixture.    19th C. Rococo Iron & Clear Crystal Round Chandelier 33" Price: $1,895 I ended up finding a fixture that looks very similar for the fraction of the cost!  Gallery Lighting | 19th Rococo Iron & Crystal Chandelier This fixture is mady by Gallery Lighting and sold on Overstock, Wayfair and a few other sites. We ended up buying ours from Overstock and we used a coupon to get the light for just over $500, shipped!  It is not an exact replica, but it looks very similar and is beautiful! Especially for the price.  One difference is the size. This one is 31 inches, while the RH light is 33 inches. Thi

Potterybarn look-a-like couches

New couches!  I really wanted these couches from Potterybarn, but they come with a price tag that doesn't fit our budget, so I found these amazing dupe couches from Macy's!    (Potterybarn Buchanan Roll Arm Upholstered Sofa vs Macy's Astra sofa) The sofa from Potterybarn is 93.5 inches, while the sofa from Macy's is 91 inches. We have had them for about a month now and love them so much! Wait for them to go on sale, and you can get the sofa for $629. They constantly go on and off sale, so just keep checking when they are regular priced. I watched them and it seemed like they went on sale on the weekends!  The Astra couches are at a price that we can love too. Now all I need are some pillows!

Nook makeover

Hi all! It’s been a long time since I have been on here. Life has been busy, yet great. We recently purchased our first home and have been trying to remodel and get some new furniture in here. I miss blogging, and thought I’d start again and post about our projects and updates. It’s a way for us to document and look back at what we have done and how we accomplished each project! We had to replace our nook table, and although I wanted one from RH, he budget wouldn’t allow it. But I found this table from Pier1 and bought it when they were having a sale! I hadn’t seen it in person and wasn’t sure what the color was going to look like, but it is so perfect! We paired it with these chairs from World Market and I love how they go together. We still need to add some blinds and curtains, but that will come!
